Title: Chinese Zodiac
On the title:
In celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year (and my personal challenge to create illustrations per month), I decided to pay tribute by making these Chinese Zodiacs posters.
On the creative approach:
I wanted to create a minimal yet Asian vibe for the posters that can upped and highlight the animals associated to Chinese Zodiacs. I made use of geometric shapes to provide dimensions as well as the use of the animal's peripheral direction to provide visual aid in casting the viewer's sight to the Chinese Zodiac years. In order to capture the Asian vibe, I decided to stick with risograph style that speaks modern Asian prints I saw on Pinterest lol.
